I was lucky enough to do a workshop with these beautiful ladies and wanted to share with you all what was involved!
I started off with Anna, she wanted to know how to do the perfect eyeliner flick but also a more evening/smokey eye, so I did one eye of each! The idea of the workshop is to learn so it doesn’t necessarily mean getting your makeup fully done.
We went with Bobbi Brown Black Gel Liner, the gel liner I find is easier to apply than a liquid as is dries faster and is smoother going on, Anna can easily do black with her dark hair and features.
On Anna’s other eye I showed her how to do a perfect smokey eye for her eye shape. Started off with a Bobbi Brown Cream Eyeshadow in ‘Velvet Plum’ as her base then used the same Bobbi Gel Liner in Black along the lash line a smudged up to create the smokey, press some sparkle on top and we’re done!
Doing a smokey eye from the lash line up is a style that will suit any eye shape, as opposed to doing a crease cut, which looks amazing on certain eye shapes, but not all.
Mascara is so important, you want to get right to the root of the lashes, this is what gives you the thickness and length, not the ends of the lashes. I used Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara which is my favourite at the moment as it is kohl pigmented so it is super black but gives the length without smudging or flaking.
This is the stunning Katherine, she has struggled with dry skin so we went through some skincare products and foundation products that would work well for her and make her skin look amazing. She was after an everyday look so we decided to go for matte eyeshadows on the lid using Bobbi Brown Cream Eyeshadow ‘Shore’ as a base then pressing Bobbi Brown ‘Blonde’ Eyeshadow over the top for some depth. Then just a thin black liquid line and some mascara and we have her perfect day look!
Then just because it was a Saturday afternoon we decided to throw on a red lip for Katherine as she was going out that night!
This absolute beauty is Ayesha, she was so excited about a makeup lesson as she does not wear a lot of makeup. She has the most beautiful colouring, so after we got her skin looking amazing we did a copper eyeshadow from Mac on her lid with a more bronze colour in the crease and a bold eyeliner.
In just 15 minutes this girl looked and felt incredible, it was about matching the right colour for her skin tone and using an eye look that suited her eye shape.
When Natalie sat in my chair, I just felt like I didn’t even need to do anything on her. She has such natural beauty that I didn’t want to cover it with makeup! I absolutely love freckles and I’m so glad she loved them too and didn’t want them covered. We did a very light tinted moisturiser just to even out the skin tone but so you could still see the freckles and she looked amazing!
We used Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in ‘Fresh Melon’ on her cheeks and lips for some fresh colour a nude shimmer on the lid and mascara and that was all Natalie needed for her perfect day look!
